Assembly of CW monitor

Install resistors R18M and R19M.
Install audio jacks KP8 and KP9.
Install two pin header SV1MB.
Install diodes D1M and D2M.
Install resistors R1M to R17M.
Trimmer pot is R15M.
Install NPO capacitors C1M, C3M, C4M, C5M, C6M, C7M, C8M, C10M, C11M.
Install integral circuits IC1M and IC2M.
Install transistors TR1M, TR2M, TR3M.
Install 2 pin header SV1MA and 3 pin header SV8PB.
Install C2M and C9M.
K6: cut 90mm of two wire flat ribbon cable
and install crimp connectors.
K2: cut 110mm of two wire flat ribbon cable.
CW monitor testing
1. Connect cable K6.
2. Plug the headphones in audio jack KP8.
3. Power up G59 board (do not connect USB cable yet).
4. Shortcut 2 pin header SV10PB.
5. You will hear the tone of CW monitor.
6. Adjust trimmer R15M for volume.
1. Connect the cable K2.
2. Connect USB cable and start GSDR software.
3. Connect CW paddle to jack K2P.
4. Under PowerSDR Setup - General - Genesis config - Keyer option tick Iambic.
Adjust CW speed. Dash/Dot ratio is by default 1, however set it to 4.5.
Hand key connection: plug hand key into jack K3P and
untick Iambic in GSDR.
This completes the testing of CW monitor and GSDR
build in keyer.
